Beautiful photo. I spent much of my childhood living in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island while my Dad was stationed there with the Navy. It was a magical time for our family and I loved getting on the ferry. Special memories to look at. Thank you-

I love this picture. It is so hard to find photos of a barn swallow and this one is fabulous. The bird in flight over the water. Thank you for your diligence in getting this shot

Thank You Vicki for your great review. This was a difficult and lucky shot to get. They are very quick and don't fly in a straight line,it took several passes of these swallows taking a sip out of the pond before this happened. Doug Parrott

I retired in 2006 and was looking for a hobby to keep me occupied. A good friend and excellent photographer (Bob Lund) talked me into taking up photography. That was the beginning of my retirement passion. I started with bird photography and loved the hunt, bird identification struggles, the outdoors, and of course the sound of the camera click.

I very seldom venture out the door without my camera's. In fact, when my wife and I attend function's, or visit relatives I'm pretty sure they think, here comes the crazy camera guy.

Seven years and in excess of 200,000 images later my wife, who has an ETSY shop says, what are you going to do with all of those images? You should open an ETSY shop, she says. Well, that's how it all started. She has been very supportive and helpful as I ventured into the ETSY world. She is a very talented Jewelry artist and designer. Make sure you visit her shop at:
